Last month, we got together in support of the Vinnies QLD CEO Sleepout and the fight against homelessness in Australia. We hosted our inaugural Hoffman Kelly Client Charity Dinner with the initial goal of raising $20,000. Little did I know what was to come – an evening that not only strengthened our bonds as a community, but also raised over $30,000.

I am incredibly proud of what we accomplished together. This event would not have been possible without the relentless efforts and dedication of many wonderful individuals. Heartfelt thanks go to Tricia Quintos, Sherrie Scholefield, and the entire Hoffman Kelly Accountants & Business Advisors team, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. My great friend Andre van der Merwe, our exceptional emcee, kept the energy high and spirits lifted throughout the night. Our esteemed speakers – Catherine Ball, Terry Reader, and Matt Kratiuk – generously shared their time and insights, adding immense value and inspiration to the evening.

I am deeply grateful for the contributions from numerous supporters who played a vital role in making the event a success. Special thanks to Thomas Aitkenhead, Claire Roberts, Michelle Goding, Elisha Caffery, Elena Lenda, Scott Ward, HKS Financial Planning, Kurt Grainger, Craig Bullen, Rod Westerhuis, Kaan Tavli, Ken Noye, Executive Performance Partners, Jeremy Ward, and Just Media Design. Your support and efforts mean the world to us.

Our event was designed to honor three critical groups: our dedicated team at Hoffman Kelly, our amazing clients, and the broader community we are proud to be part of. Bringing these groups together for a night dedicated to a crucial cause, featuring insightful speakers, and fostering a fun and engaging atmosphere, truly exemplified the spirit of our community and our commitment to giving back.

Reflecting on the night, I am overwhelmed with pride and gratitude for what our team accomplished. The funds raised will significantly contribute to Vinnies’ mission to combat homelessness, and I am immensely thankful to everyone who attended, donated, and supported the event in various ways.

Special thanks go out to Sherrie Scholefield for her indispensable help in organizing the event, as well as to the HK directorship group and entire team for their unwavering support and contributions behind the scenes. The generosity of our speakers and emcee, who are not only experts in their fields but also cherished friends, added an invaluable dimension to the event. I also extend my heartfelt gratitude to HKS Financial Planning for sponsoring the drinks and to our auction item sponsors.

As we look forward to next year, I am filled with excitement about the potential to achieve even greater things together.

Thank you once again to everyone who made this event possible. Together, we are making a difference.
