Amelia is an Accountant at Hoffman Kelly and has worked here for 2 years. We asked her to tell us in her own words what a few of her favourite things are, past experiences and what life is like at Hoffman Kelly.
How long have you worked at Hoffman Kelly and what brought you to that position?
Almost 2 years. This is my first full time job out of university. I would say I was drawn by the youth of the firm and the promise of a real work-life balance!
If you could invite three people for dinner, dead or alive, who would they be and why?
Robin Williams – Just to talk about his life and his experiences. I was/am such big fan.
Gabi Simpson – Queensland Firebirds captain, Australian Diamond #164 and Liz Ellis Diamond Award Winner in 2017 – Why? See question number 4!
JK Rowling – I grew up on Harry Potter, the movies, the books.
What’s the best advice you have been given?
Just keep swimming – Dory, Finding Nemo.
What hobbies/interests do you have outside of work?
Netball – indoor, outdoor, coaching, playing, umpiring! I love my netball.

Travelling or working in a retail job to save for travelling. Probably somewhere like Canada or Sweden.
What do you love about your job?
Meeting new clients and assisting with a variety of situations.
Knowing you are having an impact in their business’ success is very rewarding.

I can play the piano.
Who would you most like to swap places with for a day?
Beyonce! Because she’s Beyonce!
